Abstract

Kajian ini membincangkan masalah stres dalam kalangan frontliner perubatan semasa pandemik Covid-19. Frontliner mengalami stres akibat tekanan kerja, tekanan keluarga, dan risiko jangkitan wabak. Oleh itu, kajian ini akan mengkaji strategi untuk menguruskan stres di tempat kerja. Selain itu, kajian ini juga bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana majikan membantu frontliner perubatan mengatasi stres sepanjang pandemik. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan reka bentuk kajian kes. Pemilihan sampel dibuat secara bertujuan ke atas lima orang frontliner perubatan yang terlibat semasa pandemik Covid-19. Data dikumpul melalui temubual separa berstruktur dan dianalisis secara tematik yang menggabungkan familiarisasi data, penjanaan kod, pengenalpastian tema dan penamaan tema. Hasil kajian mendapati terdapat lima strategi majikan dalam menangani stress para petugas iaitu menyediakan ruang rehat, sokongan sosial, khidmat kaunseling, Psychological First Aid (PFA) dan pengisian rohani. Strategi ini didapati membantu memastikan kesejahteraan mental frontliner terpelihara dan mengurangkan tekanan yang berpunca daripada beban kerja mereka semasa pandemik. Dapatan ini merumuskan bahawa pentingnya kerjasama dan keprihatinan majikan dalam membantu para petugas mengurangkan stres di tempat kerja. Kepentingan kajian ini adalah untuk memberi kesedaran kepada pihak berkuasa, majikan, dan masyarakat umum tentang keperluan sokongan psikologi bagi frontliner perubatan, terutamanya dalam menghadapi situasi krisis. Impaknya dapat memperbaiki kesejahteraan mental frontliner perubatan dan meningkatkan kualiti perkhidmatan kesihatan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat. Kajian ini juga diharapkan menjadi rujukan bagi menangani masalah stres dalam kalangan frontliner dan memberi panduan kepada kajian masa depan.
