Abstract

MOOC has turned into one of the leading platforms for the teaching and learning process (PdP) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIS) in Malaysia due to the pandemic covid-19 that has raged around the world since December 2019. However, the MOOC to the teaching and learning of the Arabic language in Malaysia is still new and still less clear guidance for developing the activity of learning the Arabic language which interesting and effective in meeting the needs of students taking language courses Arabic. Therefore, the development of the model of activities of the MOOC for Arabic language can be made as one of the alternative solutions. This Model is developed according to the consensus of seven experts using Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM). The six main steps involved in the development of the model is to start by identifying the elements are connected, creating a relationship between the variables, developed the matrix structure of the interaction of self-regulation (SSIM), the generation of models of the approach of the ISM, the presentation of the study model and the last step involves the presentation as well as the amendment of the model the end of the study. A total of six elements identified by a lineup of experts for the implementation of the activities of the MOOC to the Arabic language. The elements that become the priority is the element define pedagogy for learning activities MOOC for Arabic language and concludes with the elements determine the activity of discussion for collaboration among students and instructors.
