Abstract

Keperluan utama mahasiswa Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran meliputi aspek fizikal, akademik, sosial, emosi dan teknologi. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti keperluan utama mahasiswa Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran di Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS). Walaupun dasar pendidikan inklusif telah diperkenalkan, pelaksanaannya masih berhadapan dengan pelbagai cabaran dari aspek infrastruktur, akademik, sosial dan psikososial. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatitf secara deskriptif. Data dikumpul melalui temu bual separa berstruktur terhadap 10 mahasiswa OKU di UIS. Data dianalisis menggunakan perisian Nvivo12. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa keperluan utama mahasiswa OKU merangkumi tiga aspek utama iaitu (i) kemudahan fizikal dan aksesibiliti, (ii) sokongan akademik dan pembelajaran inklusif, (iii) sokongan sosial dan emosi. Kajian ini mencadangkan agar setiap institusi pengajian tinggi (IPT) mewujudkan Unit Khas Hal Ehwal OKU dan melaksanakan audit kampus inklusif secara berkala bagi memastikan keadilan dan kesamarataan akses pendidikan kepada semua mahasiswa. Secara keseluruhannya, keperluan mahasiswa OKU bukan hanya tertumpu pada kemudahan fizikal semata-mata, tetapi meliputi pendekatan holistik yang menggabungkan aspek akademik, emosi dan teknologi bagi menjamin pengalaman pembelajaran yang adil, berkualiti dan menyeluruh.
