Abstract

The increasing development of technology is marked by the proliferation of various types of automatic control machines.  One of the automatic control machines is the Vending Machine.  A vending machine is an automatic selling machine that can dispense items such as snacks, drinks, tickets, newspapers, and more by inserting coins or banknotes.  In this research, to add a payment method besides coins or banknotes, QR code technology based on Arduino Mega is utilized.  The Vending Machine has been designed and created by a previous thesis participant, and in the Vending Machine they made, the payment system still only used paper money.  Therefore, to keep up with technological advancements that influence the use of transaction media, a QR code feature has been added, which uses a transaction media in the form of a reusable card that can be topped up with a nominal balance for purchases.
